Introduction

CryptoCoins ("we," "our," or "us") operates the CryptoCoins macOS application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

Information We Collect

CryptoCoins does not collect personal information.

The App is a standalone cryptocurrency price tracker that runs entirely on your Mac. There are no user accounts, no login, no analytics, and no telemetry of any kind.

Information Stored On-Device Only

• Favorites list: Your saved coins are stored locally in Application Support. This data never leaves your device.
• Settings and preferences: Your chosen display currency, refresh interval, sort order, and other preferences are stored locally on your device.
• Price alerts: Alert thresholds and snooze states are stored locally on your device.
• Widget data: If you use the desktop widget, recent price snapshots are shared between the main app and widget via a local App Group container on your device.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Names, email addresses, or any account information
• IP addresses
• Location data (precise or coarse)
• Device identifiers
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Crash reports
• Contacts, photos, or files
• Health, financial, or biometric data
• Browsing or search history
• Advertising identifiers

Network Requests

CryptoCoins makes HTTPS GET requests to two public cryptocurrency data APIs to retrieve price information:

• CoinGecko (api.coingecko.com) — current prices, market data, coin lists, and 7-day charts
• CoinCap (rest.coincap.io) — fallback price data when the primary source is unavailable

These requests contain no user-identifying information. No cookies, authentication tokens, user identifiers, or personal data are transmitted in any request.

Third-Party Services

CryptoCoins does not integrate with any analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. The only third-party communication is the price data API requests described above.

Data Storage

All user data (favorites, settings, alerts) is stored locally on your Mac in the Application Support directory and UserDefaults. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all stored data.

Children's Privacy

CryptoCoins does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The App is safe for use by all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
